I decided that the area I am focusing on is going to be print, responding to the question how is print media evolving in a digital world?

As a designer that is very interested in book design, book illustration and zine design this is the area that immediately called my attention. The idea that print will cease to exist is a quite scary one, however I believe that print will not stop it will just adapt and grow within the digital world. Zines, for example, were always the type of publication that is mainly made by hand, however zine designers adapted and nowadays most are made in softwares like indesign with less fear of making a mistake and ruining the whole thing. Further more, sometimes made by hand and scanned into a computer for printing and distributing/circulating to the public.

I found a couple of projects that distribute and present zine culture in a different way while supporting various artists/designers and adapted into the digital world. The shophouse walking tour kit in japan (in zines) by Kia Kia (mass printed) and the zine-o-maniac website (space in the digital world to buy publications).

I, also, want to focus on the "Print is dead" argument, discouraging it and finding projects/artists that will prove that
